“A goat with no sense of self-preservation leads lost hikers down a dangerous mountain path.”
Shapo is a collaborative 2D animated film that I pitched and direction for my Collaborative Experiences in Animation class. I led a team of eight, kept the film on schedule, and completed the project in the 10-week timeframe. I contributed to the original pitch, storyboard revisions, background paint, and compositing.

Did background linework for shots 1-7 and colored shots 1-7 & 11-14. Linework for shots 11-14 done by Sai'da Oritz Sanchez and Eva Shu.

As a director, I had to clearly annotate a visual style for every unique element of the backgrounds to create a cohesive environment.

This included how files were to be set up in our drawing program (Adobe Photoshop) and how to utilize its layer blending and masking tools.

Part of the fun was experimenting with textures, opacity, and juxtaposing organic lines with sharp edges.
